Quest for Success – Geoff’s Journey

Geoff Thompson MBE is a former five times world karate champion and founder of Youth Charter, a UK based international charity.

The Quest for Success project was run in collaboration with Britannia Village Primary School with the purpose of documenting Geoff’s journey as he prepared to qualify for the 2020/21 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Through a series of online interviews with Geoff, the children built confidence in interview techniques and gained valuable experience in reporting and web design.

At the end of the project the children participated in a live karate training session with Geoff and were able to interview him face-to-face at their school in Silvertown, Newham.

Thank you for the project! The children really enjoyed it and the live karate session. I spoke to children after school who shared how much they enjoyed it.
