Free Educational Activities

To celebrate the UN’s National Day of women in sciences we are offering free online educational activities in February and March to encourage female students into STEM related careers.

Funded by Newham Council’s Enrichment Grant, these unique experiences will be delivered by; Eastside Community Heritage, London Stadium Learning and Salmagundi Films in partnership with ENGIE.

Student work

Activities on Offer:

siSTEMic – Aimed at yr 5 and 6 students – Free 45 minute workshops during February and March that include:

  • Researching the heritage of pioneering women who contributed to structures in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
  • Learning about challenges/achievements that changed perceptions towards female workers

SistainABLE – aimed at yr 7 – college students – Free sessions during February and March lasting roughly 60min each

  • Virtual tours of the QEOP to learn about ENGIE’s sustainability projects
  • Virtual live talks/Q&A with ENGIE female professionals in STEM relating to sustainability
  • Educational activity to research and create a sustainability plan for their own institution
  • Access to an interactive webinar with a panel of female ENGIE professionals
  • Virtual Olympic Park Tour with ENGIE – London Stadium Learning
